🛒 The MadCat Garbs Wholesale Program — What You Need to Know
MadCat Garbs wholesale is built for retailers, boutiques, and event vendors who want to carry our merch. This isn't fast fashion — it's limited, intentional, and built for culture. While our company grows we anticipate some growing pains, but want our team members to remember that they are the lifeline of our business. You will be treated with respect and given the tools needed for a successful experience, and we plan to show our appreciation in as many ways as we can.
Our long-term plan is to launch with an initial large drop of merchandise followed by periodic drops to gauge what our customers actually purchase. By integrating a specially designed QR code system that tracks the details of all MadCat sales, we hope to take some of the guesswork out of the process as a whole.
🔲 Your QR Tracking System
Each sales rep, wholesaler, promoter, and online affiliate will be given individual QR codes that simultaneously track the details of their sales, their accumulated sales history, and in turn their percentage of the pie. We will also use this system to find specifics that may help with overall sales in the future — details such as venue, time, weather, and more can be cross-referenced over time to show our team what works, what doesn't, and possibly shed light on details that might otherwise be overlooked.
Each member will be able to track their annual sales and recorded income at any time.
💳 How You Get Paid
Commission percentages are assigned individually and will be communicated to you directly upon approval. Initially, earned commissions will be distributed twice monthly — and that earned income will be released at the same time MadCat Garbs gets paid, so everything stays transparent and you know what you have coming before payday. A loadable card will be used as a collection account, released regularly to your preferred method of digital banking.
You will be considered a sub-contractor paid by commission and will receive a 1099 annually — keep that in mind for tax season.
📋 How It Works in the Field
You will be given a scannable QR card and other QR-coded materials with your stamp integrated into the image. Once scanned and used by a customer or wholesaler, you will be assigned to receive your commission from their purchase.
For regular customers who receive one of your stickers or scan your card, this will be a one-time attribution — they'll receive a discount on their first order as an incentive, and that purchase will be added to your stats. For wholesale vendors that you sign on, you will receive a percentage from their annual sales distributed periodically. At the end of that year, that wholesaler will be released from your account and will need to be re-signed to your roster. As our business grows, pre-existing wholesalers may also need representation and will be assigned to deserving reps accordingly.
Keep in mind that while your income is commission-based and requires ongoing promotion, you will also be expected to liaison wholesalers — providing them with promotional merchandise, information, and the tools they need to keep items in stock and stay up to date on current and upcoming drops. This is your most important role at MadCat Garbs and will likely be your most lucrative source of income. Professionalism and attentiveness are mandatory, alongside maintaining positive relationships with these vendors.
⏱ Lead Times
All MadCat Garbs pieces are currently made to order. Lead times vary by item and are listed on each product page in the portal. Plan accordingly — quality takes time, and we don't rush it. As we grow and gain more knowledge of demand and the resources to build inventory, these lead times will be reduced dramatically. Until then, everything must be planned accordingly.
🤝 Landing a Wholesale Account
Wholesale accounts require an application. When you land a wholesaler, have them submit their information through the Wholesale Vendor Form and our team will review the request. Approved accounts receive portal access, wholesale pricing, and a dedicated point of contact. The more they understand the process, the easier all of our jobs will be — so building a clear onboarding process with your vendors will be vital.
While MadCat Garbs will be available to all customers, we expect that the brunt of wholesale needs will be driven by our platform and sales reps.
